We stayed here for just one night and for the price I don't have many complaints. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as the front desk was happy to answer any of our questions as well as show us around and the bar staff was also friendly. Most notably the kitchen staff seemed very kind and the food we had for dinner was also delicious.
Friendly staff and very nice food. I am sure the staff here at Staindrop have had their work cut out turning the hotel around after it was treated so badly recently. Our food was cooked to perfection absolutely no complaints. Portion sizes were very generous. The young waiter was constantly cleaning tables and preparing them for the next guests. So absolutely no doubt that the place is clean. All staff had smiles for us and very friendly too. The waiter that showed us to our table was really lovely. We will certainly be eating here again. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Stayed here for half term to vist peak district with the family. Hotel is a very short drive away from the peak district and the rooms were fine for my family. The hotel has a nice bar and pool table which was great to have in the evening. Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great with options from continental, full english or smashed avacado!
The rooms were very spacious, even though the furniture looked dated, it was solid and clean. The bathrooms were amazing! Mum had a disability room with a large walk in shower with a seat. Ours was similar but with a bath. The breakfast was good, but a little cold, and no option to help yourself to cereals or toast. Location was good for us, as close to our daughters and the motorway. Isla in the bar was excellent with her customer service, nothing was too much trouble for her.
It was a place to stay whilst passing through the area with work. Recently reopened and you can see the team are putting a lot of effort in to refurbish. Did the job a lot more agreeably than the usual, budget options manage.

A big spacious room with great bathroom. The bedroom furniture was dark wood and looked dated but it was solid. The bathroom was fantastic. Isla was brilliant and really looked after us in the bar area, even movingvtables around to accommodate our guests. The meals were very good. Would definitely stay again.
